Who should use the Sprii Host app?

The Sprii Host app can and should be used when you are on our Business subscription. The app allows you to use digital signs for your products and is also necessary for multistreaming. This enables you to stream live on Facebook, Instagram, and/or influencer pages using just one phone.

You can find the app by searching for "Sprii Host" on the Apple App Store.
At this time, the app is not compatible with Android devices.

How to use the Sprii Host app

Upon opening the app for the first time, you will be prompted to log in. Your login information for the host app is the same as your Sprii account.

Within the app, you will find buttons to control the stream. These buttons include:

  • Camera switch
  • Microphone toggle
  • Brightness adjuster
  • Zoom
  • Start/stop stream

You can easily control both the Microphone toggle and stop stream functions from the control center in Sprii. Simply click on the menu (3 dots) in the video player to access these settings.

Tip

Please be patient if the stream doesn't start immediately, as it may take up to three minutes to begin streaming to your desired destination after starting the stream.

Troubleshooting

In certain situations, the Sprii Host app may not work properly if the connected WiFi has specific settings. These settings include the following:

  • If you are streaming in a strict network environment, ensure that the firewall settings allow "Outbound TCP 1935 traffic."
  • Port 1935 is essential for transferring video over your network connection. It's possible that this port is blocked by a network administrator.
  • Your streaming quality may be effected by power saving mode. This mode will have a negative impact on stream quality.
