Stream from the Sprii Host App

Use an iPhone as the camera for your live show and control the stream from your phone or Control Center.

YOU WILL LEARN

How to install the app, choose the campaign, prepare picture and sound, and start or stop the stream.

BEFORE YOU START

  • An iPhone. The app is not available for Android.
  • Your Sprii email address and password
  • A Live Shopping campaign with destinations set. See Set up a Live Shopping campaign.
  • The Sprii Host App enabled for your Page

Install and sign in

  1. On your iPhone, search the App Store for Sprii Host.
  2. Install the app.
  3. Open the app.
  4. Sign in with your Sprii account.

Pick the campaign and get ready

  1. Choose the campaign you are streaming.

  2. Choose portrait or landscape before you start.
  3. Set the picture controls:
    • Switch the camera if needed.
    • Adjust the brightness.
    • Adjust the zoom.

  4. Check that the microphone is on.

Tip: Turn off your phone's power-saving mode and use a stable connection before the show.

Start the stream

  1. Tap Start stream in the app. Sprii counts down from 10 before the stream starts.
  2. In Sprii on your computer, go to Campaigns Campaigns in Sprii’s main menu and open the campaign you selected in the app. Click the Control Center button Orange Control Center button with play icon in the campaign header.
  3. Check the preview and stream status to confirm that the feed is arriving.

Note: A stream can take time to reach its destinations. Check the status in Control Center before you start again. See Run your live show from Control Center.

Control the stream from Control Center

An operator at a computer can mute the phone's microphone and stop its stream. In Control Center, open the three-dot menu on the video player. Use the microphone action to mute or unmute. Unmute mic means the microphone is currently muted. To stop from this menu, choose Stop streaming server.

Stop the stream

Important: You are still live while After show plays. It does not mute the microphone for you.

  1. Mute the microphone.
  2. Play After show so late viewers can still see products. See Run your live show from Control Center.

  3. Stop the stream in the app, or let the operator stop it from Control Center. Check that the stream has ended.

You have now used your phone as the camera for the live show.

Limitations

Important: Remote microphone and stop actions need the app to stay connected to Control Center. If the phone loses that connection, use the phone to control the stream.

  • The app is available only on iOS.
  • Stream-start time and quality depend on the phone, connection, and destinations. Sprii adapts stream quality as the connection changes.
  • Campaign settings determine where the show is sent. A missing destination is a campaign setting, not an app setting.
  • The Sprii Host App is available only when enabled for your Page.
