Stream to Instagram from Sprii

If you use the Sprii Host App, use InstaSprii to multistream to Facebook and Instagram together. This manual route is for setups that need Instagram Live Producer.

You need a prepared Sprii campaign, a working video source and access to Instagram Live Producer in a browser. Your account must meet Instagram’s live requirements, including a public account with at least 1,000 followers. The manual Instagram destination row with a settings gear appears only after Sprii enables it for your Page. InstaSprii and Instagram Producer cannot both be selected for one campaign.

Prepare and start

1. In Instagram's browser Live Producer, open Create > Live video, add the show’s title and choose Public for a public show. Copy its current stream URL and key; keep this window open.
2. In your Sprii campaign, open Streaming. Find the Instagram row for your connected account that has a settings gear, and select its checkbox. Open that settings gear if the Instagram Producer Destination dialog does not open automatically.
3. In Instagram Producer Destination, paste Instagram's URL into RTMP URL and its key into RTMP Key. Click Save.
4. Start your configured video source so it sends video through Sprii. In Instagram, wait for the preview, then click Go live to publish the broadcast.

Instagram issues fresh stream details for each session. If you start over, copy the new pair into Sprii and save again.

End on both sides

1. In Instagram Live Producer, click End live video and check that the broadcast has ended.
2. Stop the video source or end the Sprii stream in Control Center.

Sprii stops sending video to this destination but cannot end the Instagram broadcast for you. End it in Instagram first to avoid leaving the last frame on screen.

To reuse the recording, follow Post your live as an Instagram reel.
