Adding UTM parameters to the links sent by Sprii to your potential customers will help you identify traffic from Sprii and analyze their customer journey on your webshop.
This requires an existing tracking software, e.g. Google Analytics, that can track traffic on your webshop.
How to set up link tracking
Step 1
Navigate to Page settings in Sprii.
Step 2
Go to Plugins and press Configure on Link tracking.
Step 3
Activate the plugin by sliding the slider to Active, add names in utm_source and utm_medium, and check off the box if you wish also to add the name of the specific campaign. Go here to learn more about what each of them refers to.
Lastly, click Save.
Important to note
It is not possible to differentiate UTM link-tracking between different platforms, but your Analytics setup should be able to do so.
How to understand and use your data
utm_source identifies the source of the traffic, indicating where the link was clicked. Could be 'Social' or whatever your existing UTM links is defined as, when traffic is coming from SoMe.
utm_medium specifies the marketing medium used. Helps distinguish between different types of traffic from the same source. Could be 'Sprii'.
utm_campaign allows you to track specific campaigns. The name of the campaign in Sprii will be added as the campaign parameter.
